SYNOPSIS

It’s Presentation Day at school, and Nellie is petrified to speak. How will Nellie navigate her fear, make decisions about confidentiality, and discover support from an unlikely ally?

 

CAST

NELLIE(F) Loyal friend, terrified to speak in front of the class. Makes progress with the help of an unlikely ally.

 

GIGI(F) Cheerleader. Shiny surface, appears to have it together, intimidating to other students. Action reveals her insecurities just beneath the surface, and her true heart.

SAM(M/F) Curious, even nosey, sees opportunity to gain status, comic

instinct/physical comedy or athleticism a plus. Could be played as a "Ninja" type character, sneaking in and out of scene.

Becky has progressed to Round 3 of “America’s Next Top Superstar Student.”  YES!  Wait - NO!  This means a dreaded interview!  Do Jamey and Pinky give her a pass?

 

CAST: 

BECKY (F) Responsible, thoughtful, leadership qualities.

 

JAMEY (M/F) Mature, loyal, keeps Pinky in line.

 

PINKY (F) Fun loving, spirited, keeps it light, stays on the surface.

INTERVIEWER (M/F) Serious, adult-ish, businesslike.

“Service Project”

SYNOPSIS

For her Service Project assignment, quiet, thoughtful Rachel is teamed up with Queen Bee Peyton, her Sidekick Macy, and Harley - who defies all stereotypes. How will Rachel  and Macy handle their perspectives on what the project should be? 

 

CAST: 

PEYTON (F) Popular, superficial, accustomed to being followed.

 

MACY (F) Careful to stay in Peyton's friend group, but more thoughtful and mature.

 

RACHEL (F) Mature, wise, unassuming, not accepted in Peyton's crowd.

 

HARLEY (M/F) Unconventional, starts assignment at last minute and still makes an "A." Deeply engaged in hobby (comic books, classic novels, etc.) Strong actor. 

 

​CHALLENGE LEVEL: Intermediate~Advanced. Wide emotional range.
